I sold four of my seven masks at MCAD's annual Art Sale this weekend! That's pretty 'ucking sweet! I told my roommate that made me a real artist, to which she countered "You're a real artist for selling stuff, not just creating it?"
Heheh, yeah.

I Made Art Today
And this is what I do in class instead of paying attention.
There ain't no party like my nana's tea party, hey, ho!
Here, have a link.

Habitual Confusion, Soleo Solere.
I've had this character around since... 2002 I think. Which is weird to think of. Somewhere floating around in the back of my car is the first ever drawing I did of him, but for now, 2004 is the best I can do. I don't know how much this can really speak for how much I've improved since then, but I think it's kind of fun to look back and see how this particular character has evolved over the years.
The rub is that I still can't tell you what he's supposed to be. I've begun to accept the term 'crazy monkey man', which seems to be the most popular reaction to the drawings I do of him.
I have a tattoo of him on my back, circa the 2006 version. It's just one of those things I figure will stick with me. He seems to get more and more 'human' every year, but I reckon he'll always maintain the red hair and stupid eyebrows.
Yup... progress.

The Introductory
I've decided to hop on the blogspot bandwagon for reasons of a non-specific nature. Something about motivating me to draw for myself.
I have less than a month to get my self together before I graduate and get flung into the world of working to pay rent and feed myself. I have a lot of work to do, and it's going to hurt, but with luck I will be all over posting updates leading up to my being thrust out into the world, and then moving on to life after art college.
Here we go.
...Yeah right, see you in like six months.
